Welcome to Week 5 of the "FRAGMENT" Quilt Along! You’ve made it to the final stretch, and now it’s time to bring all your hard work together. By now, you’ve completed all your blocks, the easy ones and the ones with FPP technique. This week, we’ll be assembling the quilt top, adding the border strips, and finishing up with some fabulous quilting and binding tips.
Assembling Your Quilt Top
With all your blocks and sashing pieces ready to go, it’s time to stitch them into rows and attach the border strips. The process is the same for all size variations—the only difference is the number of blocks and the measurements for the border strips. Our YouTube tutorial will guide you step-by-step through assembling your quilt top and shows you suggestions for quilting, making sure everything comes together beautifully.
Quilting Recommendations and Binding Tips
Once your quilt top is assembled, it’s time to think about quilting and binding. In the above video, we’ve put together a gallery of quilting designs that are perfect for the "FRAGMENT" quilt. Whether you’re into straight-line quilting, free-motion designs, or something in between, you’ll find plenty of inspiration.

All right, quilters, here's your Week 5 mission: assemble your quilt top by stitching together your finished blocks into rows together with the sashings and attaching the border strips. Take your time to ensure everything lines up perfectly. Once your quilt top is complete, move on to building your quilt sandwich, quilting, and then binding your masterpiece. Pay close attention to the details to give your quilt a polished and professional finish. Happy quilting! Remember, it's perfectly okay if you don't finish everything in this week.
